Survey Shows Level 2 Charging Systems Are Highly Rated Among US EV Owners

A survey by J.D. Power has found that the most highly rated charger is the Level 2 charging system. The survey used data from 8,216 electric vehicle (“EV”) owners who had cars manufactured between 2016 and 2022. The respondents were asked to rate their home charging systems in order to provide their satisfaction of the overall ownership. The findings revealed that the highly rated chargers were the Level 2 chargers, which are permanently mounted and have a high cost. These chargers received an average score of 752 points.
