CBS Poll Shows High Fuel Prices Are Driving Interest in EVs

A recent survey has found that about one-third of adults in America would consider purchasing an electric vehicle if they were in the market for a car. However, roughly 40% admitted that they wouldn’t consider the purchase of an electric car. The survey was carried out by CBSNews/YouGov, with a sample of 2,062 adult residents in the United States. The interviews were conducted between April 5–8, 2022. Swedish electric vehicle maker Polestar has signed a deal that would see it deliver tens of thousands of vehicles over the next couple of years to car rental company Hertz.
