Study Projects 90,000 Lives Can be Saved by EV Adoption
A study by the American Lung Association projects that almost 90,000 lives might be saved by 2050 through the adoption of electric vehicles in the United States. However, in order to realize the entire benefits of health, the nation would also need to move further toward cleaner, noncombustion energy sources, including geothermal, wind, hydro and solar. The study estimates that moving to cleaner cars and better energy sources will result in 2.2 million fewer instances of asthma and 10.7 million fewer lost working days will be lost.
